The cybersecurity diploma is designed in accordance with the needs of the local job community for this major, and training in this specialization is carried out in nine training terms.
Training in this program is conducted on specialized skills in the field of cybersecurity: “Algorithms and Logic”, “Information and Communication Technology”, “Basics of Cryptography”, “Operating Systems”, “Internet of Things Security and Cloud Computing” , “Operating Systems (2)”, “Cybersecurity 101”, “The Internet and Computer Networks”, “Programming in Python 101”, “Principles of Programming Web Pages” and “Intro to Network Security”, “Cybercrime and its Risks”, “Advanced Computer Network Security” and “Artificial Intelligence Technology”, “E-Government Security”, “Ethical Hacking and Protection Methods”, “Intro to Digital Forensic Evidence” and “Selected Topics in Cybersecurity.” The focus during training is on the practical side and linking it to the theoretical side in most specialized courses by intensifying basic practical exercises and applying the cooperative training program with the related sectors to the student’s specialization in addition to general skills in ” English language”, “computer applications”, “knowledge of the business world” and “learning skills”.
This program aims to familiarize the student with the basics and concepts of cybersecurity, assess the level of data protection, methods, procedures, and standards for implementing cybersecurity work, and obtain the sixth level of the (NVQS) National Vocational Qualifications System. The cybersecurity diploma is designed in line with the needs of the local job community for this specialization and is taught in nine training classes enables the student to:
- Participates in the implementation of continuous monitoring of computers and networks and the provision of appropriate security solutions- Participates in conducting forensic investigation of cyber incidents and assisting in data recovery
- Learn about the concept of cloud computing and the Internet of Things and ways to secure them
- Participates in the protection of electronic crimes and the implementation of ways to address them
- Gain knowledge of the procedures used to bypass and deal with threats and risks
- Can work effectively in the response team and manage security risks
- Acquire the necessary basic knowledge associated with the components of computer networks and software
- Implements encryption to achieve information security over the Internet and networks
- Learn about different applications used in information technology
